MCSO MAKES ARREST IN PERINTON STOLEN UTV'S CASE

MONROE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS THREE PEOPLE AS A RESULT OF PERINTON UTILITY VEHICLE THEFTS

Perinton, NY (February 22, 2021) – On Friday, February 19, 2021, at 8:50 a.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Bobcat of the Finger Lakes, located at 7216 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Perinton for the report of a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) which was stolen. The manager of Bobcat of the Finger Lakes reviewed video surveillance and viewed a suspect enter the fenced in area in the overnight hours, enter several vehicles, taking small items. The suspect then tried to steal a UTV but it became stuck in the snow and was abandoned. The suspect ultimately did steal a 2020 Bobcat UTV with a plow and was last seen westbound on Route 31.

On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 5:05 p.m., MCSO was dispatched again to the Bobcat of the Finger Lakes for the report of another stolen UTV. This time, an employee viewed the UTV being stolen and gave chase. The employee called 911 and deputies were able to locate three suspects and take them into custody without incident. A total of four UTV’s were recovered off of Hogan Road in Perinton.

During the investigation, it was learned that the UTV that was stolen on February 19, 2021 and was abandoned on the Erie Canal Path in the Town of Gates. Deputies responded to the Erie Canal Path and recovered this stolen UTV.

MCSO charged Dominic Colon, 21 y/o, Rochester, Carlton Bevel III, 26 y/o, Rochester and Miguel Corchado, 19 y/o, Rochester with: Grand Larceny 2nd (Class-C Felony) and Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class-D Felony). All three suspects were arraigned and Colon was released ROR. Bevel and Corchado were both remanded to the Monroe County Jail on unrelated warrants.
