The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is no longer filling requests for motor vehicle accident reports by U.S. mail. Motor vehicle accident reports taken after December 1, 2009, may be obtained by one of the following ways:

Online Requests - Motor Vehicle Accident's (MVA) from 7/2/2020 to Present

Thanks for your patience. MVA’s from 7/2/2020 to present can now be purchased from CRASHDOCS for $2 for each report. Any accidents before this date can be obtained using the Walk-in request methods below.


FOIL - For Parties of MVA

You may file a Freedom of Information (FOIL) request by going to the Monroe County Communications page and completing the foil request form and submitting the request to the address at the bottom of the form. FOIL requests for MVA reports are only available to the parties of the MVA.

Walk-In Requests

You may appear in person at our offices located at 130 South Plymouth Avenue between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You may also appear in person at one of our Zone Substations located at: Zone A - 955 South Panorama Trail (Pittsford), Zone B - 393 Calkins Rd (Henrietta), Zone C - 2330 Union Street (Ogden) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Photo identification is required.
