On April 19, 2024 at 3:42 am, deputies responded to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse at 760 Jefferson Road in the Town of Henrietta for an unknown cause. Investigation shows that at 12:58 am, a suspect wearing a ski mask jumped over a fence into an outdoor area adjacent to a kitchen door and remained there for several hours until an employee exited the door to put trash into a dumpster. The suspect, armed with a handgun, confronted and forced the employee back into the building, where he and an additional employee were held at gunpoint and had their hands tied by the suspect. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from a location inside the business and fled on foot.

Additional resources were brought in to produce investigative leads, including a K-9 track. An investigation is underway, and there are no suspects in custody at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or email mcsotips@monroecounty.gov, and reference CR #24-068250.
