Mendon, NY (January 24, 2021) – The U.S. Army has cleaned up the debris site where a military helicopter carrying three soldiers crashed Wednesday evening. The military notified the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office it no longer needs to secure the location. W. Bloomfield Rd., between Cheese Factory and Boughton Hill Rds. in the Town of Mendon is reopened to the public. We are grateful to the homeowners who live in the neighborhood of the crash site for their patience and understanding during this tragic incident.
