Rush, NY (January 25, 2023) At about 1:55 AM on January 25th, a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol observed a 2018 Kia Soul with a smashed window being driven in the area of 400 Rush Scottsville Road, Rush. The Deputy learned the vehicle had been reported stolen out of the City of Rochester just hours earlier.

Before the deputy could make a traffic stop, the vehicle was found to have already stopped and the occupants had fled. One occupant was detained immediately, three more occupants were on the run.

Resources, including infrared technology, were utilized to locate the three outstanding occupants in a nearby wooded area. They were detained without incident.

All four suspects are juveniles and are charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree (Class D Felony)

The juveniles were issued appearance tickets and released to their guardians.
