On Monday, April 15, 2024 at 4:23 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), located at 720 Jefferson Rd. in the Town of Henrietta, for the report of a larceny. A description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast, and while en route to the store, a deputy observed a vehicle matching the description. A traffic stop was initiated on Jefferson Rd. at Jay Scutti Blvd. While detaining the driver, Kenneth Williams, a female passenger, Christian Adams, got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove away. In the process, Adams struck an MCSO patrol vehicle, causing damage to it. A deputy also suffered an injury to his hand while attempting to get Adams to exit the vehicle.

Deputies, joined by New York State Police, pursued the vehicle, operated by Adams, who drove northbound on W. Henrietta Rd. Adams continued through the Town of Brighton and into the City of Rochester, committing numerous traffic infractions along the way.

Meanwhile, the vehicle continued traveling through the City and made an abrupt turn at 362 Arnett Blvd., crashing into a building. Rochester Police Officers arrived to assist.
