On March 18, 2024, a former student of the Brockport Central School District contacted Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies to report past incidents of inappropriate sexual contact by a former JV basketball coach during a six-month period in 2018. Between March and August 2018, Anne Collins, then age 22 and while employed by the school district, allegedly engaged in sexual contact with the student athlete, who was 15 years old at the time. The investigation determined that none of the criminal conduct took place on school property.

Collins is no longer employed by BCSD, but has held other employment as a social worker, prompting MCSO Major Crimes Unit investigators to conduct interviews with Collins’ previous employers in an attempt to identify any additional victims. At this time, we are not aware of any other victims.

On June 4, 2024, investigators charged Anne L. Collins, 28, of Greece with:

  • Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree (Class E-Felony) (5 Counts)

Ms. Collins was arraigned in Sweden Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail, where she was held on $5,000 bail. She posted her assigned bail and was released.

We encourage anyone with further details pertaining to Anne Collins to call 911.
