On 1/31/24 at 10:22 a.m., the victim received multiple calls and emails from someone claiming to be with the “FBI” stating they were investigating her. After staying on the phone with her for six hours, she wired $10,400 to Pritesh Prajapati with the bank of Pekao located in Poland. The bank and the FBI have been notified.

PL / Encore Shoe Dept 1900 Empire / 24-021326

On 2-3-24 at 4:10 p.m., a woman in a pink hat, pink jumpsuit, black coat and gray Nike shoes accompanied by a second woman wearing a red sweater, gray pants and black Nike shoes stole $221.94 worth of sox and crocks. They left in an older brown pickup truck.

PL / Wegmans 2157 Penfield Rd / 24-023063

On 2-6-24 at 4:41 p.m., Abraham Caban-Gonzalez stole $106.70 worth of groceries. Deputies located the male in the parking lot where he placed him under arrest. Caban-Gonzalez is charged with Petit Larceny, issued an appearance ticket, and released in accordance with NYS law.

PL / Wegmans 2157 Penfield Rd. / 24-023631

On 2/7/24 at 2:40 pm, 35-year-old Shayne T. Winters stole $248.81 worth of merchandise from Wegmans. He fled in a black Ford Fusion. Deputies located him in the vehicle and transported him back to the store for identification. He was charged with Petit Larceny, issued an appearance ticket and released per NYS law.


GL 4th / Balmoral Dr / 24-024209

Between 2/5/24 and 2/8/24, the 85-year-old victim received a scam call from someone claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House. The victim wired $2,800 to the suspect with a promise she would receive a briefcase containing one million dollars. A briefcase arrived in the mail from a woman in Maumee, Ohio. The case had no money in it. Deputies contacted Maumee woman, an 83-year-old who stated she was scammed out of $13,000 and the guy told her to send the empty briefcase to the above victim. Maumee Police will be contacting the Ohio victim.

Burglary 3rd / PL / Target 2161 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd / 24-024505

On 2-8-24 at 9:00 pm, a known man in his 30s accompanied by a woman in her 30s, with red hair, wearing a surgical mask, dark-colored jacket and dark shirt, stole 27 packs of Red Bull ($620.73). They left in a gray Nissan Altima with black rims and no front plate. Deputies spotted the vehicle and attempted to pull it over, but the suspects refused to stop and it was last seen westbound on Rt 441.

GL 4th / Sanders Farm Dr. / 24-28848

The victim states sometime between 8:00 p.m. on 2/14/24 and 3:00 p.m. on 2/15/24, a suspect entered his unlocked company vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of his home and stole multiple items. Items taken include a black backpack containing his work Dell Laptop Computer, a Fluke Multimeter, medical equipment, and an orange and black pack, with an accumulative value of $2,600.

Between 1/30/24 at 2:00 pm and 1/31/24 at 5:30 am, unknown suspects damaged computer equipment worth $772.56 in the BOCES Technology Services at the above address.

Criminal Mischief 3rd / Fairport School Dudley Elementary 21 Hamilton Rd / 24-021859

On 2/4/24 at 4:50 p.m., a black Dodge Charger occupied by two teenage boys went over the lawn, causing $1000 in damage. They also did a burnout on the basketball court, drove over a sidewalk, and prior to the reckless driving, the boys were on the roof of the school.

GL 4th / Wegmans 6600 Pittsford Palmyra Rd / 24-023802

On 2/7/24 between 2:50 pm and 3:30 pm, unknown suspect(s) stole the 87-year-old woman’s wallet while she was shopping in Wegmans. There were numerous credit cards in the wallet. One of the cards had $1503 charged to it. Suspects attempted three other cards ($3243, $1503 and $1700) but all were declined. All transactions took place at the Apple Store at East View Mall.

GL 3rd / Forgery 2nd / ID Theft 1st /  Callingham Rd / 24-023060

Two checks were cashed against the victim’s Citizen’s Bank account on 12-19-23 totaling $3,013. The first check was cashed for $1549. That check was originally written for $297. The second check was cashed for $1,464. He is unsure who that check was made out to. The victim placed both checks in his mailbox, but is unsure where or when they were taken.

Burg 3rd/GL 3rd / 3 Dunnwood Grn. / 24-015198
The victim is currently doing contract work for Morelle Builders at Dunwood Green Apartments. Between 01/05/24 at 4;00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on 01/08/24, an unknown suspect entered an unoccupied apartment and stole his Titan 840 Paint Sprayer. Camera footage was reviewed, but the victim was unable to see a suspect or when the incident occurred. 

PL  / 2970 W Henrietta Rd (Delta Sonic) / 24-022235

On 02/05/24, at 8:40 hours, an unknown suspect entered the above location and stole approximately $700 worth of candy. The suspect was described as a male wearing khaki pants and a beanie hat.  There was no video of the incident.

Criminal Mischief 3rd / 1000 Hylan Dr / 24-023440

The victim reports between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 02/06/24, an unknown suspect damaged his 2020 Chevrolet Equinox while it was parked at the above location. His driver side mirror and windshield wipers were damaged and he also noticed a dent/scratches on the passenger side door. The victim suspects his son may be responsible for damaging the vehicle.

Petit Larceny/Criminal Mischief 4th / 2350 Marketplace Dr (Lowes) / 24-023476

Lowes Asset Protection reports on 02/07/24, an unknown man and unknown woman entered the store and stole two dehumidifiers. The suspects damaged the fire exit door while leaving the store. The male and female were seen leaving the parking lot in a red Ford Escape, which was being driven by a different woman. Investigation determined the owner reported the Ford Escape as stolen.

Grand Larceny 4th/ ID Theft 3rd / 100 Marketplace Dr (Esporta) / 24-023739

Between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on 02/07/24, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet from an unlocked gym locker. The wallet contained a KeyBank Debit Card, which was later used at the nearby Family Dollar Store to purchase a $200 gift card. 

Grand Larceny 4th / 1200 Marketplace Dr / 24-026478

On 02/12/24, two unknown men entered Walmart and proceeded to steal $1,368 worth of ROKU Premiere devices. They were seen leaving the parking lot in a silver Honda Accord with a Florida license plate.

Kohl’s asset protection reports on 02/10/24, two unknown men entered the store and stole multiple pairs of shoes valued at $500. They left the location in a red Chevrolet Equinox with NYS license plates.

CPSP 3rd Chili Ave. / 24-021838

On 2/4/24 at about 3:00 p.m., deputies observed a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz being operated by a known warrant suspect, Brianna Meacham. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of this location for numerous vehicle and traffic law infractions and made contact with the female driver who identified herself as Nicole Meacham. Upon being confronted about her deceitful identity, she acknowledged her true identity as Brianna Meacham and the existence of active warrants from RPD. Furthermore, the vehicle Brianna was operating was reported stolen to RPD on 2/1/24. She was arrested for traffic violations, possession of the stolen vehicle, and issued appearance tickets before being turned over to the Rochester Police Department to answer for the warrants.

Petit Larceny / Chili Ave. / 24-023340

An employee at Kwik Fill reports that on 2/7/24 at about 7:00 a.m., a man entered the store and selected numerous cans of Red Bull. He concealed the drinks in his jacket and exited the store without paying. Deputies located a male on foot in the area and found he was in possession of eight cans of Red Bull. The male was identified as Tracy Skye, and a show-up confirmed he was the larcenist in question. Skye was arrested and issued an appearance ticket.

Petit Larceny / Meadow Farm, S. / 24-025200

The victim reports he purchased two signed football helmets and four football cards from an individual on Facebook, presenting himself as Josh Emmett. He sent $182.00 to Josh’s CashApp account and was supposed to have received the merchandise from Friendswood, TX by 2/5/24. The items did not arrive and Josh has stopped responding to Facebook messages. Deputies made contact with an Officer with the Friendswood Police Department, who went by Josh’s alleged address and reported the house was in disarray and there were appliances in the yard. Neighbors report that the home owner died two years ago, and the location has been vacant since.

Grand Larceny 4th / Meadow Farm N. / 24-026792

The victim reports her 2014 Dodge Caravan was in the parking lot outside her residence on 2/11/24 at about 5:40 p.m. When she returned to the vehicle at 3:00 p.m. on 2/12/24, it was missing. She believes when she went to retrieve something from inside the vehicle on 2/11/24 she may have left it unlocked with the keys inside.

Grand Larceny / Shrubbery Ln. / 24-027516

The victim parked her 2022 Kia Sportage in her driveway on 2/13/24 at 5:30 in the evening. Four hours later, she noticed it was missing. The victim believes she left the keys in the unlocked vehicle.

Clarkson:

Grand Larceny 4th / Valley View Dr. / 24-018922

An unknown suspect was caught on surveillance video entering the victim’s 2009 Toyota Venza at 12:45 a.m. on 1/31/24, stealing a variety of tools. The suspect seemed to arrive in a light-colored sedan and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with reflective shoes. The value of the stolen tools is approximately $1800.

Petit Larceny / East Ave / 24-019356

Sometime between 8:00 p.m. on 1/30/24 and 5:00 p.m. on 1/31/24, an unknown individual entered the victim’s 2012 Chevrolet Equinox and stole a black Cosco baby seat still in the plastic wrapping as well as $5.00 in change. She usually locks her car doors, but cannot be sure if she did on this occasion. There was no damage noted to the vehicle.

Grand Larceny 4th / Owens Rd. / 24-019811

While conducting a separate investigation at Lowes, Deputies received information a larceny had just occurred at the location. An eyewitness saw the suspect filling a blue Lowes bucket with copper fittings and leaving the store without paying. The suspect then drove away in a Chevrolet Silverado from the parking lot. Ogden Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Rt. 531 and assisting Deputies aided with a show-up identification. The suspect, Troy Mitchell, was released with an Appearance Ticket. The value of the recovered stolen property is $1001.29.

Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-024319

Walmart Asset Protection reports on 2/8/24 at about 2:20 p.m., two men went through the self-checkout and failed to pay for $426.92 worth of assorted meats. When approached by AP, the men abandoned the merchandise and left in a Honda. Deputies located the suspect vehicle and detained Anthony Barron and Damon Morse without further incident. They were positively identified by Walmart AP, arrested and issued Appearance Tickets. Barron, who is a predicate felon with five outstanding warrants, was arraigned by Judge Connors and then remanded to MCJ with a bail set at $200 cash, $1000 bond, $2000 partially secured bond.

On 2/10/24 deputies responded to assist Walmart Asset Protection with the arrest of three Walmart employees. AP states between 12/4/23 and 1/31/24 Nicholas Patterson, Faith Horn and Casey White, individually and on numerous occasions, packaged deli grocery items and deliberately printed UPC stickers with reduced prices for personal gain. Patterson created a store loss of $42.96, Horn created a store loss of $111.87 and White created a store loss of $23.67. All three were taken into custody without incident and, ultimately, released with Appearance Tickets.

 

Burglary 3rd / PL / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-025123

According to Walmart Asset Protection, a known larcenist, who had previously been banned, was observed alongside an unidentified individual. They were seen selecting a Hisense 40" television, a Vizio sound bar, and two containers of Tide Pods. Without rendering payment, both suspects exited the store. The females fled the location in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala which was observed traveling eastbound on Rt. 531. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, but Brummond did not stop and was last seen traveling at a high rate of speed on EB Rt. 490. Brummond currently has eight active warrants with multiple agencies across Monroe County. The value of the stolen property is just over $500.
